One of the sites to see in Atlanta is the Fernbank Museum of Natural History. I recently visited this Atlanta treasure with my daughter on a school field trip. It had just about everything for any age group.
We began the visit with a wonderful IMAX movie experience entitled “Mystic India – A Wonderful Journey of Inspiration” The movie was definitely a treat as we immersed ourselves in IMAX - the world’s largest film format - a screen stretching five stories high and 72 feet wide with state-of-the art surround sound. I certainly wanted to go visit an Indian restaurant after – Atlanta has MANY great ones! You can check out local restaurant reviews at www.accessatlanta.com.
We next visited the other exhibits the Museum had to offer. Our first stop was the huge Dinosaurs bones exhibit set in the center of the building. We then journeyed from room to room and floor to floor exploring cultural treasures, ancient fossils and special exhibits designed to help kids of all ages explore their imaginations.
This is definitely a great place to visit with family. To find out the latest IMAX movies playing, or explore with your kids, visit www.fernbankmuseum.org.
